This photo shows the fall colors of a massive cypress tree in the swamps of Caddo Lake, Texas - which straddles the border with Louisiana. This photo was taken on a boat tour of the lake in early November. Taking photos from a moving platform in low light made things a bit challenging, but the sheer beauty of the subject - which reminds me of an impressionist painting - was well worth capturing. The color and beauty of the cypress swamps in fall must be seen to be believed.
