Autumn on the Ural Mars

The official name of the so-called Mars is the Poldnevsky site of the Troitsko-Bainovsky deposit of refractory clays. It occupies a quarry area of ​​about 70 square meters. km and is the largest in terms of reserves in the Middle Urals. The quarry began to be developed in the 19th century, but the volumes were small. Real clay mining began in 1930 with the construction of the Bogdanovichi Refractory Plant. During the Great Patriotic War, the plant was the only clay supplier in the country, and today it is one of the three best.
