Azerbaijani dance
The Lezgi dance includes several slow and fast movements, which immediately shift rhythm with quick spins and are combined with the graceful Naz Elama (‘Don’t Flirt’) dance and the Koroglu dance (celebrating the hero who fights oppression) by Azerbaijani performers, creating a delightful performance. The sit-and-rise movements, as well as the specific hand and foot gestures during the dance, reflect and evoke the ethnic and national characteristics of the dancer.
