Every year The International Indian Treaty Council has an event, "The Annual Thanksgiving Sunrise Gathering (North American Indigenous Peoples Day) on Alcatraz Island in San Francisco, Ca. This is a world wide event where Native people from around the world travel to participate and remember the original occupation of the Alcatraz.
