There was a 2 day festival at the local Tamshing monastery in Bumthang, Bhutan. Many dances were performed at this festival, many of which involved the use of masks. The Bhutanese come with their families, all dressed in their traditional costumes and there is a very festive ambience. Backstage at the monastery was the best place to be with lots of action, dance practice going on and social interaction between the dancers and the local Bhutanese.
