I took this photo earlier this year whilst on a trip to St Lucia to visit some family, as well as to use the opportunity to take my adventures in street photography to a new level. With Alex Webb being a major inspiration to me, you can imagine how excited I was. The context behind this small body of work is to showcase my experience in the streets of this small Caribbean island, realising that there are hidden problems that the world needs to be made aware of, I aim to use shadows, and contrast against the vibrant popping colour of the many colourful houses to show that there are 2 sides to this paradise place.
