I captured this picture of a Bald Eagle hanging out in a dead cottonwood tree along the Colorado River near Silt, Colorado. I had an incredible day taking pictures of this beautiful bird while hiking around the river with my 28-300mm zoom lens. At one point, he flew off and then returned so I could take more pictures (at least that's how it felt to me).
