In the beautiful island of Bali, Tirta Empul was built on the site of a fresh water spring. Its water is said to be holy and to have a special cleansing effect on those who wash in it. After making an offering, visitors can come for a cleansing, to worship and pray at the temple. Balinese people from all over the island visit the temple for purification and to collect holy spring water.
