Arriving in Kathmandu, Nepal, a few days ahead of our Everest Base Camp adventure, we opted for a day-long taxi tour to explore the city's renowned landmarks efficiently. Seated in the cramped taxi—three friends in the back and my trusty 24-70mm lens in my lap—I marveled at the stark contrasts between the city's sights and our familiar Western culture. As we maneuvered through the bustling streets, rounding a corner, my attention was immediately drawn to a local merchant gracefully strolling along with captivating and vibrant balloons in hand, a picturesque moment amidst the vibrant tapestry of Kathmandu.
