I went away on a hiking holiday and on the drive back from a 20 kilometre day hike (when I could hardly walk anymore!) to my accommodation, it was on dusk and I saw a sign on the highway for a cemetery only 1 kilometre off the road. I like the atmosphere and artistic quality of the shapes in remote outback cemeteries in Australia and often too the stories of hardship the headstones have to tell of pioneering life and shortened life expectancies. So I drove to the cemetery to see what was there.
