On my third visit to Pangandaran, West Java, Indonesia, I was taken to a nearby place by my guide. We met a family in their house. The lady there showed us this bat which she said was abandoned by its parents. It was found restless in the vicinities of their house and they finally decided to take care of it. I was wondering if a bat could become a pet. Its face looked monstrous to me, one of the likes in films, however, its acquiescence to the household members took me by surprise.
