Beach shells and stones washed up on the shore after the storm

Walking on a beach the day after a rain storm, I noticed a colorful, solid, sparkling band that ran parallel to the length of the shore. As I approached, I realized it was made of shells and rocks in every size, shape and color. I had never seen anything like it before...it was so beautiful.
