Bear Island Berg Sunset- was captured within the Bear Island Archipelago of Scoresby Sound, Greenland while on expedition aboard the sailing ship Donna Wood. The objective of the journey was to promote environmental awareness and education of the significant climactic changes occurring in the Arctic. The sense of scale is quite often lost when photographing icebergs as this berg exceeded 80 meters in height with more than 70% of its mass resting beneath the waters surface.
