I took this photo while taking a walk in my neighborhood in Upstate New York. It was late August and the mid-day sun was waning. The last rays were gently illuminating this delicate Hibiscus flower. I was only able to get in a couple shots before the warm soothing rays seemingly fell beneath the earth. The iridescent glimmer of the petals created by the sunlight perfectly mirrored those last days of summer; precious, fleeting, and truly beautiful.
