Bee coated in pollen
There's a house in my neighbourhood with sunflowers towering tall around the perimeter. On warm days they're covered in honey bees going about their work. I am transfixed by their aesthetic quality (the bees and the sunflowers) and chase the most beautiful images when I'm supposed to be briskly walking for exercise. Time passes when I photograph bees without me even noticing. Sometimes I need to ban myself from stopping for bees so my heart rate doesn't drop and I actually burn kilojoules. This is in suburban South Australia in summer, about 38 degrees celcius.
