Paterson Great Falls is one of the United States' largest waterfalls. It played a significant role in the early industrial development of New Jersey starting in the earliest days of the country. The walkways around The Falls include a statue of Alexander Hamilton, who was one of the first to recognize the industrial possibilities of this waterway, as well as several gardens.
