Beetle Kill

As I was walking in the Medicine Bow Forest I hung up my hat among pine trees that had been felled by an invasive species of beetle. I found it ironic that the same forests that were leveled in the 1800s to supply wood for the railroad were destroyed once again. This image is from my Carbon County project, made during 2017 when I worked at ranch in Wyoming.
