At a special weekend reenactment of 'a day in the life' at the historic 1840s fur trading post of Bent's Fort. Wagons with trade goods came overland from St. Louis to this place on the Santa Fe Trail (just north of the Arkansas River in American territory). Mountain men, trappers and hunters, travelers, and natives all traded here.
