This is Berta, a San artisan living in a very remote community at the Namibia Botswana border. She makes a living by creating abstract artwork for nonprofit OMBA Arts Trust. She also makes beads out of shards of ostrich eggshell, a San tradition that is over 70,000 years old. She then sells strands of her eggshell beads back to OMBA for additional income.
