Between Loathing and Pleasure: Kaparot in Children's Eyes (Part of Series).
Kaparot is a ritual practiced by religious Jews. According to Jewish belief, by swinging a chicken three times over a person's head, the sins committed in the past year are symbolically transferred to the bird, thus releasing the individual from their sins.
