16th Annual Smithsonian Magazine Photo Contest Mobile
Between the pines
On a brisk October afternoon in 2017, I was awe-inspired by the Grand Canyon of the Yellowstone. A fellow traveler remarked that the light bounced off of the trees in this photo in such a way that the trees almost seemed fake.
