Durga puja also known as Durgotsava is an annual Hindu festival originating in the Indian subcontinent which reverse and paye homage to the Hindu goddess Durga and is also celebrated because of Durga's victory over Mahishaasur. It is celebrated all over the world by Hindu Bengali community but it is particularly popular and traditionally celebrated in Indian state of West Bengal. (The people's Ma Durga Visarjan in the boat).
