21st Annual Smithsonian Magazine Photo Contest Travel
Big faith in a small town.
This temple was worthy of a big city, but it was located in a small village. There was only one priest inside, and under the dome birds made numerous nests. Despite this, the temple was filled with people from all over the village who prayed tirelessly.
