Big Red Barn
I am drawn to decaying things. As a lover of all things dark and creepy, I’ve always been fascinated with deteriorating houses and related matter, but lately it's become an obsession. Perhaps it’s because I am beginning to decay myself. As we grow old, we become crinkled, wrinkled, scaly, and scraggy. I am not a farmer, but I live in a community where the last vestiges of farmland still exist outside Chicago. There are barns here. Old barns. I have noticed these barns echo the human condition.
