Inspiration for this image came from one of my favorite artists, Eyvind Earle. Known for his intense colors and dramatic lighting, I tried to recreate this feeling with this shot. I composed the North Star to create the circular spin to further add to the intensity so common in many of his pieces. I waited for the moon to be low on the horizon to get the most out of the shadows and golden mist over the ocean.
