Biggest Seaweed Maze in the World

For a couple of months in a calendar year (April- June), the sleeping fishing village in Xiapu will transfrom into an epic landscape of seaweed harvesting on a colossal scale. Strings of seaweed are strung onto tens of thousands of bamboo poles covering what seems like the entire ocean. The area is active with local fishermen in their boats weaving in and out of the maze-like landscapes collecting and hanging seaweed to dry.
