18th Annual Smithsonian Magazine Photo Contest Natural World

I was practising with a new lens so went on the front porch hoping to see a woodpecker that frequents our utility pole when it started to rain. Figuring it a typical Florida rain storm, I figured it wouldn't last long but the rains kept getting harder and harder. I looked down and noticted this plants leaves were collecting water. I stepped over closer to it, zoomed in, and snapped away!
