On 11 dams, which make up the Complex of protective structures of St. Petersburg against floods, now there are 47 species of birds, including those listed in the Red Book. A large man-made object in the Gulf of Finland, like an artificial reef, has become a habitat for aquatic and near-aquatic fauna, providing the most friendly interaction with the surrounding nature.
