14th Annual Smithsonian Magazine Photo Contest Natural World
Birth
After a few days in the Pantanal focusing on jaguars, I decided to try an capture the beauty of the landscape as well. The early morning mist looked amazing at sunrise. This mix of mist and orange light usually lasted only a few minutes as the mist disappeared very quickly.
