This is one of the large male Bisons in the Yellowstone Park herd. They are so used to people that they wander alongside the cars and cut in front of cars as they move from field to field. We were there in August, so all of the bulls were trying to keep all of the females contained for the imminent mating season. There were a few fights while we were there, but it was mostly a waiting game.
