Black Browed Albatross with a view

This picture shows a fairly mature black-browed albatross chick sat on its nest. This nest bowl will have been used by its parents to breed potentially for 40-50 years and its how the adults recognise the chicks. If the egg or the chicks fall out of the nest then unless they miraculously climb back in they will be deserted by the parents. Equally as impressive as the bird and the nest is the spectacular landscape which comes with just about any picture you take on South Georgia
