13th Annual Smithsonian Magazine Photo Contest Natural World
Blackbuck and Grass

While invited for Harrier bird census i was glad to see antelope peeking through grassland. The national park has largest number of Blackbuck in world. The place is home to many species including birds many of which are IUCN red listed. The grassland is home to world biggest roasting site of Harrier predator bird. Protection of such grassland will immediately defend many rare species from extinction.
