Blake's Rose

The rose is less than perfect as it has been rain damaged in the constant drizzly October weather, but its centre was perfect. It reminds me of Blake's, The Sick Rose poem. O Rose thou art sick. The invisible worm, That flies in the night In the howling storm: Has found out thy bed Of crimson joy: And his dark secret love Does thy life destroy.
