12th Annual Smithsonian Magazine Photo Contest Travel
Blarney Castle
This was a photo taken at the famous Blarney Castle in Ireland. The fact that something so ancient could still be standing was breathtaking. The enormity of the Castle was daunting. The stairs wound steeply and forever and I had to catch my breath after a few close calls.
