While touring Slovenia, I was able to visit Lake Bled. This inland mountain lake is over a mile long and nearly a mile wide. Surrounded by mountains and forest, it is one of the most famous tourist locations in the country. An island in the center of the lake is the home of the Church of the Mother of God.
