these women were gathered to celebrate a religious procession on the sixth day of navratra in dusehara called "the marriage of belwanti kanya". On the sixth day of navratra the people village gathered around a vine fruit tree and worship the tree as goddess Shakti after the worship seven fruits of vine plucked from a single branch and fruits used to wrapped in a bridal attire and married idol of lord Shiva. This is particularly celebrated in northern part of champaran district of Bihar
