Blood and Soul
The Streets of Kolkata, West Bengal, India are always interesting. Reminiscent of the East India Company architecture, there are several buildings that portray the imperialistic rule before independence. Such a building forms the background of my photograph. Here the wall colors also depict contrasting way of living - a spiritual way (white) and a hard working one (red). People can live either by begging or by working hard for their living. That's also the reasons for my title "Blood and Soul". That's the essence of the city!
