Blowing summer wishes

Summer is not summer without dandelions for children to pick and give to mothers or, more importantly, to blow summer wishes to the wind. It was a favorite pastime of mine when I was a child. Today my grandchildren do it. Blowing tiny puffs that carry big wishes is one our culture's summer delights. Each wish is accompanied by many giggles.
