Blue Morning on Biscayne Bay

Biscayne Bay Aquatic Preserve shoulders right up to Miami, Florida. Despite its close location to a metropolis, it offers miles of uninterrupted mangrove shoreline and seagrass beds that serve as a nursery to many marine animals. I paddle my canoe to a location where mangroves march into the sea and where I can ignore the nearby city and look out into the Atlantic ocean.
