Blue Oakleaf butterfly feeding on overripe fruits

The South Indian Blue Oakleaf Kallima horsfieldii is a butterfly that has mastered the art of camouflage. With its wings closed, it perfectly resembles a dry leaf. Only when it flies or basks in the sun, does it reveal its brilliant blues! Here, it is ready to take-off after a drink of overripe pineapple juice!
