The Boguty Mountains (Bogety) are also called the Red Mountains of Kazakhstan. The mountains acquired their red color due to the arid climate and soil mineralization. The color of the mountains ranges from beige, gray, red and pink. The mountains are located in the Almaty region on the territory of Kazakhstan. They are part of the Zailiyskiy Alatau mountains. The landscape is similar to Mars. Kazakh mountain landscape with American Arizona or the Wild West. You can find anything here: volcanic ash, shell rocks, gypsum salt, which looks like mica and glitters in the sun like diamonds, petroglyphs, an abandoned adit.
