Alpine/Yellow beaked Chough birds had long red claws that easily grasped the wooden fence encircling the terrace of Hitler's retreat at Eagle's Nest. These birds appeared ravenous as they begged for morsels of whatever people were eating. These 2 birds settled down next to an empty coffee cup.
