Brassy Long-horn, Nemophora metallica. Males engaging in territorial battle with their longhorns on Field Scabious, Knautia arvensis. Brassy Long-horn, Nemophora metallica. Dusty gold micro moth with long antennae. Lower antennaw is black and upper is white. Male antennae are 3x wing length. Female antennae are nearly same length as wing.Wings are dusty gold or brassy. Head is brassy or orange-red. Diurnal. Frequently found on flower heads in grassy meadows. Larvae feed on seeds and leaf litter. Associated to Scabious. Flight June-August.
