Brave the wind

I have been trying to explore creation beyond the camera. I used a scanner to create this painting, "Brave the wind". The biggest difficulty with using a scanner is how to make a still image look dynamic and interesting. I experimented with various methods and found inspiration when the tulips began to wilt. I used small butterflies as props to echo the flowers, used the stalks and petals to bring life and interest to the image and tried to make the image move. While creating this piece, I had an image in my mind of soft little flowers swaying in the wind, blue petals flying in the sky and little butterflies hiding in the flowers ...... I presented this image as an image and used a dynamic title to interpret the image which was completely still at the time of its creation. The process was amazing.
