Brennisteinsalda

Bird's eye view of multicolored Brennisteinsalda volcano, the most colourful mountain in Landmannalaugar. The mountains are made of rhyolite while the other elements - such as sulfur, iron, obsidian and moss paint the slopes in various shades of brown, yellow, pink, red, and blue. See tiny people at the top for scale. Most visitors enjoy a spectacular view from the top of this mountain, yet the best view is from aside and from above.
