Bret Davis is a well-known rodeo clown who performs at PRCA events throughout the year in California. As a pro-rodeo photographer, I was fortunate to be shooting at the Sonoma County Wine Country Rodeo on 31 July 2021 when I captured this image. At this particular moment, Bret was entertaining the spectators with his favorite, canine companion during a lull in the rodeo action.
