A Rhinoceros Auklet loads up with Sand Lance to bring back to the chicks for an evening feed, near the Keystone Ferry in Coupeville, WA. One of my favorite birds to watch as they dive and corral fish, using their teeth at the back of their beak to hold on to their catch while they dive for more! I sat on the end of a dock for two hours waiting for the Auklets to come up for air closer to me. This Auklet finally popped up just after the sun sank behind the trees which gave the whole picture a black and white appearance except for the beak and eyes!
