Broken Fence was spotted at the entrance to Atlantic Beach, NC. Fences are places along beaches to assist with erosion and protection of the dunes. North Carolina has gotten hit with a few tumultuous hurricanes in the past few years and Atlantic Beach did fare better than some but there is still evidence of damage from the high winds in places. Just because something is broken does not mean that it is no longer valuable. The beach is still as beautiful as it ever was, the dunes continue to protect property and people still come to take in the peaceful atmosphere.
