This panoramic image represents all of the phases of a beautiful sunrise that occurred over 10 minutes, in one image. I wanted to show in one image the experience of being at Bryce Canyon for sunrise, rather than a single moment in time during the sunrise. Thus, I created exposures for pre-dawn cloud color, for the sunburst as the sun crests the hills, for the soft light in the canyon, and for the final strong orange glow on the cliffs in the left of the image.
