Buddha statue at Mulde Peak, Annapurna region, Nepal

Mulde Peak is a highlight on an off-the-beaten trek in the Annapurna region in Nepal, offering 360 degree stunning view of the Himalaya peaks within the Annapurna and Dhaulagiri mountain range. Hikers came here for the sunrise view, mesmerised by the surrounding beauty. While busy taking photos of the various snowcapped mountain and selfies with the peaks, most of the hikers seem to bypass this Buddha statue situated in the middle of the Mulde peak, sitting serene, watching over the Mulde Peak and keeping it safe. Only the local guides and porters will stop briefly at its feet and offer prayer and respect. When I reached the peak and saw the statue with morning sun slowing coming up and shining on its side, I was captivated by its golden glowing beauty and serenity.
